town, maintaining it's Spanish charm, sitting about
30 minutes south of Alicante. There are 2 main roads
to Alicante from Torrevieja, one of which is a direct
motorway. There are 3 La Torretas urbanisations within
Torrevieja, only five mins drive or 15 minutes walk
to Torrevieja town centre. The amenities in the Torrevieja area are extensive, 10 minutes walk to Carrefour Hypermarket,
Habaneras shopping mall, restaurants and an abundance
of fashion stores, and there is a free bus service
which will take you into Torrevieja town from La
Torretas.
Alicante is a great region for the children; there
are plenty of schools in the area, both Junior and
Senior plus private international schools, and there
is also a children's funfair and local cultural market.
Close to the Torrevieja Habaneras Mall there is a full
size water park. In the immediate La Torretas area
you have an abundance of bars and restaurants. Spanish,
Chinese, Italian, English, Irish and a newly opened
Fish and Chip shop, as you can see all tastes are catered
for.
Torrevieja has beautiful sandy beaches with a promenade full of shops, bars and restaurants, with a peninsular into the sea, perfect for a long fresh walk.
