Pinoso,
Raspay
The
village of Raspay is 7 mins from Pinoso,
inland within the Costa Blanca. Pinoso on the Costa
Blanca is a pretty town with many shops, banks etc,
and provides the central town to surrounding Costa
Blanca Spanish villages. Raspay is
a mainly Spanish village with some English families,
but not too many that they spoil the Spanish feel of
the village. Everyone mixes , especially at fiesta
times, of which there are many. We are situated at
the foot of the beautiful el Carche mountain range
and the village has many access paths to these picturesque
slopes which makes the area ideal for walkers and mountain
bikers.
Raspay is part of a wine growing
area, so wine is in plentiful supply from the many
local Bodegas. Olive oil is also produced in the area
and can be bought in the village direct from the grower.
Almond trees make a pretty picture around February
when the blossom is at its best. Pinoso has many family
facilities, leisure centre, outdoor swimming pools,
and a theatre and dance school. Again many fiestas
take place in Pinoso, as throughout
the Costa Blanca.
A little further afield from Pinoso,
we have Alicante and Benidorm and the beaches of the
Costa Blanca which are all about 1 hour away. However,
the surrounding area of the village is very lovely,
with many scenic walks and mountain views on the doorstep.
Inland to Alicante we have good motorway and road access
to all surrounding areas. Secondary schools and primary
schools are in nearby Pinoso or Yecla, another local
town (15mins by car) , As a final note the area around
Pinoso has quiet roads, is very clean and tidy and
has a safe and friendly atmosphere. Its well worth
a visit, and offers easy routes to all of the Costa
Blanca.
