- Approve any contracts of sale
- Conduct searches with the Land Registry
- Confirm legal title
- Organise completion dates
- Attend Notary
- Serve as Power of Attorney if you are unable to attend the notary
- Set up Utility contracts (Water, Electricity etc.)
- Advise of all taxes and costs associated with your purchase

There are many good Spanish Solicitors based in Spain who speak perfect English
and benefit from local knowledge on a daily basis.

requirements, although they will still have to employ the services a Spanish
Solicitor which has to be charged to your account.

It’s worth doing a little research as this will boost your confidence
when you negotiate the price. There are plenty of agents advertising resale
properties, in magazines, papers and in their windows, in addition to their
websites. You will soon see the difference in how much extra you can get for

Structural surveys are often conducted on older properties, although when
properties are within builder’s guarantees, surveys are less popular.
Regardless of how new the property, if you have any doubts it would probably
