El Galan

The area of El Galan is approximately 4 kilometers from the small but quaint town of San Miguel just inland from the Costa Blanca Beaches. El Galan is quiet and peaceful, with a fabulous range of different property types, and only a few minutes from 3 golf courses and 10 minutes from the beaches of the Orihuela Costa. Lovely restaurants can be found within walking distance and a few minutes by car. El Galan is approximately 8 minutes from the N332 road which runs the entire Costa Blanca and gives access to the bustling town of Torrevieja (15 minutes) and as you head the other way to Cartagena within 15 minutes you arrive at Lo Pagan on the beautiful Mar Menor.
Beaches here stretch for miles and you can walk out past the mud baths and salt lakes with stunning scenery. The water in the Mar Menor is very safe for bathing and children with lots of facilities on the surrounding beaches. El Galan offers children's buses to San Miguel which offers schools for all ages. San Miguel has many Fiestas throughout the year and every Wednesday they have a local market which goes on all year. Within 10 minutes from El Galan you can drive to a large Saturday Market at Playa Flamenca, and of course the biggest market in the town of Torrieveja on Friday. Other markets can easily be found each day within 15-20 minutes drive. El Galan is situated 20 minutes drive from Murcia airport and 50 minutes from Alicante airport on the Costa Blanca. El Galan is cosmopolitan mix of British, Spanish, German, etc.
